Customer Reviews M. Alvarez Said: Good price, good pedal ( Sep. 23rd 2009 )Good pedals for the price, had some trouble adjusting the tension for a quicker release but after a few bruises got it.Adam Shutes Said: Good, solid SPD pedals. ( Sep. 13th 2009 )Having just bought a new Kona Dawg, with these guys as stock on the bike, I bought another pair for my old Kona hardtail to replace the ageing Ritchies. Both types of pedals are smooth in their rotation, clip in and out easily, but the Shimano's I can take apart at the axel to give the bearings a refresh (when they start to get rough). They're cheap for quality pedals, not the lightest pedals around, but if you're desperate for less weight you'll pay for the XTRs, right? They've taken bashes, lost some paint, but still clip in and out well - which is what it's all about. I'll buy them again.J. Aalto Said: Great value ( Aug. 6th 2009 )I'm new to cycling and have SPD shoes but bought a used bike with LOOK pedals. I borrowed a pair of these PD-M520s and found them just right for my skill level (45 mile max rides so far). They appear to be an excellent value - no complaints whatever.Shagui Said: Very good for first SPD pedals ( Jul. 3rd 2009 )If you are a begginer in clipless I recommend these pedals. They are reliable, safe, the price is good and the quality is very very good. Very easy to clipp and unclipp, you have a bolt to control the tension Not intended to use with out SPD shoes.Stumpjumper Said: Have worked reliably for 5 years ( May. 30th 2009 )Bought a pair of these in 2004 for an old mountain bike and a pair came with a new one I bought in 2005. I ride about 4 times a week, 95% of the time off-road in a soft-sand dusty environment. Never had any problems. If you are thinking about going clipless but are unsure, don't hesitate. The added control and power you get are unbelievable. Just practice clipping out until you are comfortable with it. I spent 20 minutes a day climbing a nasty dirt road that I never have been able to reach the top of. It forced me to learn to clip out. Took about 10 days until it became second nature.« Back SHIMANO SPD MOUNTAIN PEDALS PD-M520 1 PAIR W/CLEATS NEW
